All companies exhibiting sell or distribute products or services to spas/salons. The following are examples of the types of companies that will be seen at IECSC:
Who attends the conferences?
Salon & Spa Owners and Managers, Estheticians, Makeup Artists, Skin Care Specialists, Instructors/Students, Distributors, Massage Therapists, Medical Estheticians, Plastic Surgeons, Wellness Practitioners, Cosmetologists.
Is the public invited to participate in the conference?
No, this is a professional tradeshow only and is not beneficial to anyone not involved in the spa industry. However, anyone interested in this industry is more then welcome to call and get more information.
Since IECSC is co-located with ABS (America's Beauty Show), if I puchase a ticket to IECSC, does that grant me admission into ABS?
No, you must purchase a separate ticket to access ABS.
Do you have to bring your license to the show?
Not all states license their estheticians or salon/spa professionals, so we do not require any ID at the door. Some form of professional identification is suggested for networking and business transaction information. Questex, however only advertises to the professionals in the spa industry.
Do people attending classes receive Continuing Education Hours?
Many classes are acceptable for CEH credit; however, due to the diversity in state accreditation programs, it is the attendee's responsibility to notify their state board of cosmetology to predetermine which classes are acceptable. IECSC Continuing Education hours are administered by Cosmetologists Chicago®. Cosmetologists Chicago® (CC) is an approved sponsor of continuing education by the Illinois Department of Finance and Professional Regulation (license #190-101), the Iowa Board of Cosmetology Examiners, the Georgia State Board of Cosmetologists and the Nebraska State Board of Cosmetology Examiners.
