In August of 2010, Allan Share, a 20-year veteran of the health and wellness industry, took over as President of the Day Spa Association (DSA) and the International Medical Spa Association (IMSA). After selling his previous businesses, he adds, “there’s not another industry in which I care to spend time. This business is in my blood and I will continue to give back as long as I can.” His vision of the DSA and IMSA is to continue building upon the legacy started 20 years ago.  The DSA and IMSA are poised to become the leading trade associations in the spa, esthetic and wellness world.  That vision will come to fruition through a full member benefit package, legislative support, connecting the community and a strong, comprehensive insurance offering.  The refreshed DSA and IMSA will pull together the dispirited parts of our industries, providing all practitioners with a one-stop-source for information, the place to learn about other allied professions and an easy connection to colleagues in the U.S. and around the world. Ongoing, we will be adding education videos, webinars, a full resource library and much, much more.  Allan’s previous companies include New Life Systems and Lotus Touch. Both companies were sold to Scrip Companies (owners of Scrip/HESSCO, Massage Warehouse, Promed and others) in 2007. He continued on for three years as Director of Spa Operations out of his Minneapolis, MN office.
