With the time and effort you devote to your own spa, how often do you have an opportunity to take an in-depth look at other properties? This spa tour provides you with a look at two of Las Vegas’ esteemed properties. This tour will be guided by Allan Share, President of the Day Spa Association.
Our first stop on the tour will be Spa at the Linq. Spa at the LINQ is a modern retreat offering millennials and all of its clients total body wellness. Spa at the LINQ features unique treatments such as Alaskan Glacial Mud Wraps, Himalayan Hot Stone Massages, along with seasonal treatments such as Coconut Beach Pedicures. Paired inside the spa is a full service salon, 1600 sq. ft. fitness center and Himalayan Salt Caves. Choose to drop in for a treatment or spend the day. Spa at the LINQ will pamper its clients from the beginning with fresh squeezed juices, healthy snacks and seasonal blended infused waters.
Our second stop will be AWAY® Spa, located in the new W Las Vegas, which features ten treatment rooms, a communal relaxation lounge, plus locker rooms with steam rooms and oversized experience showers. The spa’s lounge, designed for chilling out before or after treatments, allows guests to detox or retox, with complimentary snacks and beverages. The spa’s innovative menu features signature spa treatments with Las Vegas guests’ specific needs in mind – whether they’re overworked, under-slept or partied out. Some of the treatments custom-designed for AWAY Spa at W Las Vegas include the Vegas Vegan facial; Stoned hot stone massage; Vegas Baby hydration facial; Man Up men’s facial; and the ultimate in pampering experiences, the Massage a Trois, which includes a bath soak, hydrating body wrap, scalp massage and full body massage. Treatment rooms feature adjustable LED lighting that allows guests to choose between sensual green or soothing white, while each room also offers two music playlists – one designed to ignite and one to relax.
Transportation provided to and from the convention center.
Allan, a 20-year veteran of the health and wellness industry, took over as President of the Day Spa Association (DSA) and the International Medical Spa Association (IMSA) in August of 2010. After selling his previous businesses, he adds, “There’s not another industry in which I care to spend time. This business is in my blood and I will continue to give back as long as I can.” His vision of the DSA and IMSA is to continue building upon the legacy started 20 years ago. The DSA and IMSA are poised to become the leading trade associations in the spa, esthetic and wellness world. That vision will come to fruition through a full member benefit package, legislative support, connecting the community and a strong, comprehensive insurance offering. The refreshed DSA and IMSA will pull together the dispirited parts of our industries; providing all practitioners with a one-stop-source for information, the place to learn about other allied professions and an easy connection to colleagues in the US and around the world.
